Build a Box Boat and Race to Victory! Join us June 13th for our 4th annual "BOX BOAT DERBY" This fun event allows swimmers and their families to interact with other swimmers as they test their teamwork and building skills outside the pool. Teams get 1.5 hours to build a boat out of cardboard and duct tape. (All boat-building supplies are provided on-site.) Once the boats are built, Judges come around to judge the boats, then the boat-building teams choose a captain to race their boats against each other to the finish line. This event is open to Friends and family members of the East County Swim League

Ages 0-3 is Free

Observers are $5 a person 

Boat Builders $10 a person 

You may come with a team or come and we will find a team for you to build with!

Computer Team

If you have experience with Maestro or as a Timing System Assistant and would like to help and share your knowledge, sign up for the facilitator job.

There will be a Stroke and Turn clinic open to all summer recreational swim teams. The clinic will be held in the banquet room at The Greenery Restaurant (1551 Marchbanks Dr.) which is directly across the street from the Heather Farm's pool.

The clinic will be run by Head County Meet deck officials. All levels of experience are welcome to attend, there is no cost and no need to register in advance. The focus of the clinic will be to cover basic stroke rules/infractions as well as changes to rules from last season, including the backstroke finish rule.

Attached is a handout that will be the guideline for the discussion. Our lead officials will go through the current DQ slip and talk about what each infraction means. We anticipate the clinic lasting from 6:00-7:00pm, with an additional half an hour if there are questions or discussion points brought up. No food or drink will be provided, however, there is a full bar at The Greenery and any attendees are welcome (or even encouraged!) to grab a drink or two as they sit through the discussion. The Greenery has generously sponsored the County Meet and provided their venue for the past 3 years for this training. Any additional patronage of their bar/restaurant would appreciated.
